END OF LOVE

Love is a beautiful thing. The word "love means different things to different people.

For me love means  caring, understanding, being dependable, seeking for ways to bring out the best in the ones you love looking out for ways to make them better and happier.

One issue that I always comes to my mind whenever  I think of the word "love " is this, SHOULD THERE BE AN END TO LOVE.

There are several instances where people leave the one that they claim to love and could die for.

I quite understand if one has to leave a loved one due abuse and neglect, but  walking away from someone one claims to
love simply due to the fact that the person is going through some crisis to me is  totally wrong.

A friend of mine once gave me a yardstick for measuring true love. She said love is a two way traffic, anyone who claims to love a person but have nothing to give (giving includes care, attention, help when needed support etc)should not be taken serious.

When a loved one dies, does it signify the end of love as it relates to that person? Do
one still owe the dead loved one any obligation? How do we treat the people that meant the  world to our departed loved ones? How do we handle the  things left behind by our loved ones.

It is normal to miss and promise to  uphold the legacies of a loved one  at their burial, but how many people do make out time to even enquire about the welfare of the family of the one they claim to love.

Most times after the burial rites, everyone returns to their  tent and life goes on. Hardly do people ever remember to call not to talk of visiting the family of the dead loved person.
We are often too busy with our lives to give a thought to what happens to the family of this dead loved one especially when the deceased left behind little children .

The one I can't understand is the reason for fighting over the property of a dead loved one even before the loved one is buried. Some even go to the extent of depriving  the family of the dead person his properties
and yet they claim to have loved the person when the person  was alive.

  • My prayer is that the Lord should help us to truly know who loves us

  1. Hmm mm! Greed and insensitivity everywhere! I remember after my dad died, people who used to flock around him, began to pretend as if they don't know us , some of them will even pass through our way and walk pass!
